UCLA Health Healthcare Privacy Analyst in Los Angeles, California

As a Privacy Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the privacy compliance functions of the Office of Compliance Services. Your primary duties will include:

  • Monitor, review, and provide guidance on federal and state regulations impacting privacy-related initiatives.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, offering clarity and support on privacy compliance inquiries and guiding them through various scenarios and challenges.

  • Conduct privacy compliance investigations.

  • Perform comprehensive privacy compliance reviews to help mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

  • Assist in the review and development of privacy policies and procedures, aligning them with industry best practices and organizational goals.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our privacy initiatives, actively participating in privacy projects and audits.

The full annual salary range for this position is $83,800.00 - $179,400.00. Please note - the department's target pay range is $83,800.00 - $105,000.00.

Qualifications

  • Possess a CHPC, CIPP and/or CIPM certification.* 3 years' experience in healthcare compliance (e.g. assisting with compliance incidents and investigations, gathering documentation for cases, drafting investigation reports).* Knowledge of federal and state statutes, laws, rules, and regulations affecting privacy practices.* Understanding of the essential elements of an effective compliance program.* Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.* Bachelor's degree is preferred.
