Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description

Our client, a well-known museum, is looking for a Human Resources Generalist. As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing the compliance side of the Human Resources Department and you will be focused on ensuring the museum is compliant with state and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor HR compliance programs to ensure the company's adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

  2. Stay updated with changes to employment laws and regulations; communicate updates to the HR team and senior management.

  3. Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.

  4. Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed; address potential issues or discrepancies.

  5. Lead the preparation for and response to audits, inspections, and inquiries.

  6. Collaborate with HR team to enforce standards through appropriate disciplinary measures.

  7. Manage and maintain accurate records of compliance activities.

  8. Develop and conduct employee training sessions on compliance related topics.

  9. Oversee workers compensation, 401k, and benefits programs

Robert Half is looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of HR experience with an in-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations. Outstanding organizational and communication skills are also a must along with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. You will work onsite and the salary range is $75k-$85k. This will be a contract to hire position.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now

• Demonstrated experience in managing Benefit Functions is required.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.

• Strong understanding of Compliance protocols and regulations in HR is essential.

• Proven experience in handling Employee Relations is required.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of HR Compliance is required.
