UCLA Health Lead Central Service Technician - Warehouse in Los Angeles, California

As a Lead

Central Service Technician, you will provide general direction and training to

staff to ensure that production is maintained in all areas and assigned tasks

are completed at the UCLA Distribution Center. You will be responsible for

verifying adequate materials and equipment are supplied throughout the Health

System and ensuring the clinical departments' needs are met. This position is

required to deliver supplies to UCLA Health sites by driving university

vehicles.

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to:

  • Allocate tasks and assign routes to staff for operations

  • Recommend inventory cost reduction initiatives, assist in establishing operating standards, and helps implement quality improvements

  • Perform data entry, manage inventory, maintain PAR levels and back up supplies

  • Order, receive, distribute, and deliver supplies in a timely manner

  • Work closely with the clinical staff to identify their needs

  • Work on back-order reports and coordinate product substitute with Procurement and vendors

  • Processing order for inventory picking

  • Maintaining of equipment such as mobile devices, vehicle and so on to be in good used condition.

Salary

Range: $31.37- 37.46 Hourly

Qualifications

  • California Driver's License in good standing (subject to DMV Pull).

  • Ability to operate a University vehicles to deliver supplies to multiple off-site locations.

  • Experience in utilizing heavy duty transport carts, furniture dollies, supply dollies, cargo van, box truck, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and forklift.

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.

  • Ability to understand and adhere to the healthcare regulations for infection control.

  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to understand and adhere to Materials Management and UCLA Policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated communications skills, ability to maintain good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.

  • Skills for accurate calculations of inventory replenishment, weight, units of measure, and package counts

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 400 lbs.

  • Highly motivated self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment; thrive in a team environment and confident to share their ideas for efficiencies and improvement.
