Robert Half Senior internal auditor in Los Angeles, California

Description We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team based in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will use your skills in auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and QuickBooks to conduct comprehensive audits of our internal operations and financial activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute audit programs to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulations

• Prepare and present audit reports, summarizing findings and providing recommendations for improvements

• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate records and perform financial analyses

• Implement and monitor compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes

• Conduct operational audits to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement

• Collaborate with other departments to address audit findings and implement corrective actions

• Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices in auditing and accounting

• Assist in risk management by identifying potential areas of risk and developing mitigation strategies. Requirements • Possess a deep understanding of audit programs and audit findings

• Able to create and interpret audit reports

• Proficiency in internal control and internal audit processes

• Highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience in operational audits and reporting

• Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley regulations and auditing standards

• Proficient in SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

• Able to work independently and in a team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven track record as an Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor

• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, or CISA is preferred

• Ability to travel as necessary.
