Description

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Staff Research Associate II will assist with the investigation of physiological and behavioral changes in animal models of migraine, pain, and sleep disorders using artificial intelligence-based analysis of sensor and video data. You will assemble computer hardware and storage for data collection and analysis. You will develop artificial intelligence models for encoding and decoding of large data streams from multiple sensors, and use this sensor data to train analysis of physiological and behavioral states based on video recording. The Staff Research associate II will also perform statistical analysis of data, and generate figures for presentation and publication.

Please note that this is a part-time 6 month limited position

and may convert to career.

Salary Range: $28.04 - $45.11/Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

• Ability to maintain clear and concise lab notes and data records.

• Oral and written communication to provide information, instructions, training and advice.

• Ability to learn new software programs and laboratory techniques as needed.

• Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and supplies.

Preferred:

• Ability to work according to schedule and to coordinate work with other lab members.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

• Working knowledge of sleep, headache, and pain research.
