Description

Staff Research Associate I will work in the Wohlschlegel laboratory and will be responsible for characterize protein samples using proteomic mass spectrometry. The individual will be responsible for preparing proteomics samples for analysis, HPLC and mass spectrometer operation, and bioinformatic analysis of data.

Salary: $25.75 - $30.71 hourly

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Experience in general molecular biology methods (e.g. buffer preparation, DNA cloning, electrophoresis, etc.)

• Strong communication skills.

• Skills in performing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing responsibilities.

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff members, peers, supervisors and other groups.

• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in work scope, workload, changes in personnel, assignment, pressures of deadlines competing requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Science.

PREFERRED

• Experience in operation of mass spectrometers and HPLC systems.

• Experience in bioinformatics.
