    Position description

The Visual and Performing Arts Education Program (VAPAE) in the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture offers an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental series of courses designed to introduce undergraduates to the key issues and methodologies in the field of arts education for multiple publics and to a broad range of possible career paths including K-12 teaching, museum education, socially-engaged arts practice, creative arts therapies, teaching artist and arts advocacy.

VAPAE is committed to creating a diverse pool of candidates for potential part-time teaching positions in arts education during each academic year. VAPAE is now interested in meeting qualified candidates to teach its Arts Ed 101 - Selected Topics in Arts Education elective course centered on Museum Education Pedagogy. Applicants should submit course proposals and accompanying syllabi to teach the selected course. The course listed requires varied perspectives or pedagogy and as a result the appointment will not be renewed.

Minimum Qualifications: BA required; MA or PhD preferred; relevant professional experience

Annual Salary Range $68,247-$192,040. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Appointments contingent on availability of funding.
