Position Overview:

Established to serve the needs of the growing Westside community in Merced County, Memorial Hospital Los Banos (MHLB) opened its doors on Sept. 5, 1967. Today, MHLB is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and operates as a non-profit, general care medical center with 26 active physicians on staff.​​​​​​​

Manages the clinical inpatient and/or outpatient service departments for Rehabilitation. Oversees the department budgets, operations, staffing resource management, environment of work, continuous quality improvement, policy and procedure implementation, and long-range planning. Ensures compliance and efficiency and facilitates program development to ensure high quality patient care, while meeting the needs of the medical center, physicians, patients and employees. Accountable for optimizing performance in all operational dimensions: service, quality, personnel, growth and financial.

Job Description :

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Audiology

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • PT-Physical Therapist

  • (OR) OT-Occupational Therapist

  • (OR) SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years of recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Thorough knowledge of Rehabilitation principles, procedures and practices related to a least one the following disciplines: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Audiology

  • Knowledge of current hospital policies and procedures, quality control, competency assessment programs, principles and methods of training and supervision, and regulatory agency requirements.

  • Knowledge and competence in the use of equipment associated with the practice of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Audiology and any and all equipment associated with the Wellness Center.

  • Demonstrates tactical and analytical thinking and planning skills, and is able to develop plan to accomplish objectives, identify obstacles and resolve operational issues.

  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.

  • Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range is $64.84 to $97.26 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
