Fresenius Medical Care North America Supply Chain Manager in Los Lunas, New Mexico
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements.
Responsible for managing inventory in the clinical setting. Responsible for key relationships with vendors and forecasting. Creates policies and procedures in for inventory control and forecasting. Manages cross-functional initiatives including the implementation of new programs, initiatives, products and technology.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generating an SKU-level forecast for all pharmaceuticals
Incorporating historical and market trends and seasonality
Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Finance, Medical, Procurement)
Collaborating with external stakeholders (key vendors/medical/pharmaceutical suppliers)
Aligning forecast against inventory targets and contractual commitments
Coordinating with replenishment planner to ensure target service levels
Developing and managing the relationship with counterparts at key vendors/medical/pharmaceutical suppliers
Balance inventory against forecasted volumes and refrigeration capacity at clinics
Resolve ESA supply issues at clinics
Effectively manage relationship with third party distributors to develop ongoing communication, build rapport, and to coordinate distribution to clinic network
Assemble data, coordinate necessary meetings, and communicate effectively with accountable groups (e.g. Clinical Ops, Finance, Procurement) to ensure smooth replenishment process
Design and generate PAR settings to be used for ongoing replenishment of goods
Ensure, through active management of IntelliOrder, PAR settings are correctly incorporated into SAP system
Monitor and find opportunities to improve the following KPIs:
Forecast accuracy
Shipments versus volume commitments
Days-of-supply versus defined targets
On time in full to DCs
On time in full to clinics
Address and proactively mitigate clinic issues
Improving upon current documentation and SOPs for supply chain planning processes and systems including
Medication scanning/perpetual inventory
Automated replenishment of clinic back room supplies
Ensuring compliance with DSCSA requirements
Addressing inquiries from regulatory agencies in relation to DSCSA
Developing solutions to streamline compliance with regulations
Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION:
- Replenishment Planners/Supply chain analysts
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required
APICS or related certifications preferred
Lean Six Sigma training (Certification preferred)
Healthcare experience a plus
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
6-8 years of experience working with Supplier Relationship Management and Quality Management System or Supply Chain Optimization in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Ability to work proficiently in a cross functional environment and matrix management organization leading and supporting multiple sites
Demonstrated knowledge in supply planning, replenishment methods, inventory and supply chain management
High proficiency in analytics, excel modeling, Microsoft Office applications and SAP experience required
Strong interpersonal and collaborative decision making skills with an ability to influence internal and external partners
Demonstrable autonomy and drive to operate independently when required, bringing clear thinking and reasoning in the decision making process.
Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn about new processes with very little information provided
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
An analytic approach to problem solving; must be capable of extracting & manipulating data from information warehouses
Must be a critical thinker and active listener with good time management skills in order to work with Suppliers and Project Management teams to define deliverables
Strong project management skills
Advanced knowledge of quality related tools including, but not limited to, SPC, AQP, DOE and Quality Systems
Willingness to travel - primarily domestic.
