Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Louisville, Kentucky. The role primarily involves supporting our busy accounting team, with a focus on maintaining payables, general ledger, and processing invoices. This position is an integral part of our accounting operations, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of detail orientation.

Responsibilities:

• Support our accounting team in maintaining accounts payable

• Play a key role in general ledger upkeep

• Be responsible for coding and processing invoices accurately and timely

• Utilize analytical skills to identify and solve accounting problems

• Maintain a detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in all tasks

• Use MS Excel for various accounting tasks

• Communicate effectively with other team members and departments regarding accounting matters

• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and regulations

• Assist with other accounting projects as needed

• Continuously aim for improvement in all accounting processes. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and processes is essential

• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management

• Proficient in using MS Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
