We are seeking an initiative-taking and purposeful Business Development Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in promoting our commercial construction services and products, building lasting client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, strong people skills, and a proven track record in sales.Primary Duties:Identify and Develop Sales Opportunities:Prospect and generate new leads through market research and networking.Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential clients, including owners, architects, and property developers.Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.Product Knowledge and Presentation:Thoroughly understand our commercial construction services and product offerings.Create compelling and tailored presentations to highlight the benefits and value of our solutions.Effectively communicate technical and complex construction information to clients.Knowledge of contracting and project delivery methods.Customized Solutions:Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to create customized solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.Provide consultation to clients on construction project requirements and offer expert advice.Quoting and Proposal Development:Prepare detailed proposals based on client specifications.Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable projects.Market Analysis:Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.Identify emerging opportunities and threats and adjust sales strategies accordingly.Pipeline Management:Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline to ensure steady progress towards revenue targets.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.Ensure customer satisfaction and manage any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.Achieve Sales Targets:Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years’ sales experience.Proven experience in business development within the commercial construction industry.Strong knowledge of commercial construction materials, processes, and industry standards.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Self-starter with a keen sense of initiative.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to meet clients.Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or related field is a plus.Competitive Salary and Benefit Package for Proven LeadersJob Type: Full-timePay: Base $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 plus commission per yearBenefits:Health, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time offLife and DisabilitySimple IRA with employer matchPerformance BonusesCell phone allowanceVehicle allowanceMileage reimbursementSchedule:Monday - Friday in office8-hour shiftDay shiftEvenings and Weekends as neededWork Location: This role is an in-person office position and offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a passionate team, interact with clients and colleagues face-to-face, and contribute to our vibrant office culture.License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute:Kentucky, Ohio, and IndianaWillingness to travel:50% (Required)
