Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate various machinery based on blueprints, work drawings, and instructions. Responsibilities include working with tolerances of .005, using a range of tools such as hand/power tools, presses, saws, mills, lathes, sanders, and grinders. The role requires performing quality checks, reworking/repairing parts, operating forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling, and assisting in general housekeeping and upkeep of machines/tools. The ideal candidate will contribute to the fabrication and machining of high-reliability oil, gas, and petrochemical products.

Hard Skills

  • Set up, adjust and operate vertical and horizontal mills/lathes

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work drawings

  • Steel or metal fabricating experience

  • Use of tape measure, calipers, micrometers

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Louisville, Kentucky.

Work Environment

Industrial job shop environment in an older but well-maintained, clean(ish), and organized building. The facility is non-climate controlled and operates as a union shop. All team members contribute to the general upkeep of the facility.
