Actalent Electrical Design Drafter in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Electrical Design Drafter

Job Description

As an Electrical Design Drafter, you will be responsible for transforming initial rough product designs into production documents using 2D CAD tools. You will provide CAD design support to develop, maintain, and improve product designs, and support engineering on the order entry side for new orders for machine products. Experience with DraftSight and AutoCAD is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Electrical Engineers to take red-lined, standard models and existing circuit designs and transform them into new, custom drawings.

  • Make new or update existing BOM information in ERP system.

  • Complete projects in a manner consistent with corporate design and drafting standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, and drawings.

  • Perform basic modifications to PLC programs.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and DraftSight.

  • Experience in electrical design, electrical schematics, and manufacturing.

  • Experience in designing electro-mechanical products or capital equipment.

  • Proficiency in 2D drafting electrical schematics and enclosure layouts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and HMIs is a plus.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with the option to work either 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 nine-hour shifts with a half-day on Friday. Up to 4 hours of overtime is available if desired. The role requires you to be 100% onsite, with 80% of the time spent at the desk and 20% on the floor as needed. The work site is located in Jeffersontown, offering a pleasant work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
