Title: Network Technician

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 04+ Month’s Contract

Pay Range $60.00 to $65.00/hr.

We are looking for a “Network Technician” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our IT team and contribute to the management of our network infrastructure. The Network Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of both public and private networks by performing technical analysis, installation, and support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network control software, routers, switches, and related equipment and a passion for continuous improvement in consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine assigned projects to clarify objectives and deliverables.

  • Create comprehensive scope-of-work documents outlining project requirements, timelines, and resources.

  • Develop and coordinate delivery plans for junior team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of network standards documentation.

  • Mentor junior resources through each stage of the project lifecycle, including discovery, design, deployment, and validation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.

  • Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards for quality and performance.

Technical Expertise:

  • Networking: Hands-on experience with routing and switching using Arista, Aruba, and Cisco equipment.

  • Security Services: Experience with security solutions such as Cisco and Palo Alto.

  • Network Monitoring: Proficiency with tools like Gigamon, LiveAction, SolarWinds, and ThousandEyes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in network services delivery or a related role, including network discovery, design, and deployment.

  • Skills: Strong project management, scope documentation, and criteria definition skills, with proven leadership and mentorship abilities.

  • Attributes: Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
