POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Lead operates as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. They will perform daily warehouse duties as expected of a level III associate. In the absence of the Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead will perform all day-to-day functions of the Supervisor including security of the building.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

* Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to operational procedures.

* Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.

* Perform daily warehouse duties as directed by the Supervisor.

* Assist with direction of associates and management of daily workflow within the framework of daily assignment.

* Support other team members by being an expert in appropriate systems- i.e. WMS, Oracle.

* Assist in training of new associates as required.

* Assist in leading continuous improvement initiatives.

* Assist in implementing lean objectives and 5S activities.

* Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the assigned area in the absence of the PDC Supervisor.

Requirements

* HS Diploma or GED

* 3+ years of warehouse experience, distribution environment preferred.

* Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

* Proficient in Microsoft Suite, TMS, and Oracle experience a plus.

* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

* Strong people skills including communication, conflict management, empathy, active listening, negotiation, positive attitude, ability to mediate disputes, being tolerant of differences, and teamwork.

* Material handling equipment experience, including forklift, reach truck, and cherry picker required.

* Strong planning and organizational skills.

* Good problem solving and reasoning skills.
