Women and Minorities, along with Veterans and others who are members of a protected class, or who may need a workplace accommodation, are encouraged to apply.” Learning and Development SpecialistReporting to the Director of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, this role analyzes development needs and recommends appropriate learning delivery methods with all levels in the organization, to build capacity and future leaders. Responsible for designing and delivering learning solutions for APH employees. Responsible for the Learning Management System administration. May lead instructions and use online/web-based training programs and learning. Conducting needs analysis and recommending the L&D appropriate programs is included in the responsibilities. Evaluates all learning initiatives using validated measurements, analyzes the results, and provides analytics to the leadership.Location:This position allows for a hybrid work schedule for those who live in Louisville, Kentucky.Compensation and Benefits$56,000.00 - $69,000.00 | Salary is negotiable depending on experience.Benefits:•Health Insurance covered at 80% for employees - plans include family planning benefits•HSA Plan and FSA Plan - both include company contribution!•Competitive Dental and Vision Plans•Health and Well-being initiatives•4 weeks PTO•11 Paid Holidays•401(k) Plans with company match and immediate vesting•Company provided Short Term Disability•Basic Life Insurance at no cost to employees•Voluntary Life Insurance with Accidental Death and Disability•Educational Assistance and Professional Development Opportunities•Optional Hybrid Work Schedule for approved positions only•Public Service Loan Forgiveness EmployerEssential Duties and Tasks•Serve as the Administrator of the Learning Management System.•Conduct needs analyzes to develop learning and development programs or modify and improve existing programs.•Use knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops to assure appropriate learning method.•Maintain a library of resources, training aids, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids and audio-visual equipment.•Make effective instructional presentations when necessary.•Administers and evaluates training program qualification tests and determines eligibility of prospective attendees.•Works with outside consultants when arranging various training programs.•Serves as the contact for those who attend learning programs.•Work with department representatives about learning and development programs.•Schedule classes based on availability or classroom, equipment, and instructors. •Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities or program effectiveness using validated evaluation tools and provide results to leadership.•Develop alternative methods if expected results are not met.•Monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.•Complete other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications - Experience - Training•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Instructional Design, or Education. •3-5 years’ experience in developing and facilitating training.•2+ years’ experience serving as a leader.A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated. It requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk using a computer.APH IS A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE. An offer of employment is conditioned upon successfully passing a drug screening test.
