Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Ideal candidates will have cherry picking, reach truck, or forklift experience, although training is available. Warehouse experience is helpful. Candidates must be willing to train on an order picker (cherry picker) and not be afraid of heights. Initially, tasks may include hand picking, packing, or working in the shipping area. Once trained, the role will primarily involve operating a cherry picker and picking products for shipping, meeting required picking rates.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Louisville, Kentucky.

Work Environment

The facility is a part distribution center for a manufacturer of large cleaning/sweeping machines, equipment, and parts. The environment is not climate controlled. Shorts and tank tops are acceptable. The temperature varies with the season, with extra breaks, water, and popsicles provided when temperatures exceed 97 degrees. The pace is manageable but goals are expected. Willingness to work overtime each day if needed is required. Shift times are: 1st Shift - 7am, 8am, 10am; 2nd Shift - 1:30 PM to 10 PM. Trainers wear light blue shirts and leads wear dark blue shirts.
