is currently seeking a

Program Manager

for the

Louisville, KY

Responsible for overall direction, completion and financial outcome of specific large-scale projects and/or multiple projects, including leading multidisciplinary teams, actively collaborating with business development, and providing strategic direction across business group initiatives. Represents the organization’s interests and forges critical relationships with a specific target client base.

1) Identifies, establishes and manages strategic client relationships, translating client needs into projects, while gathering resources and building effective project delivery teams to help win and deliver work. Involves:

  • Maintaining an understanding of governmental relations and other external drivers that may affect the client

  • Understanding the client’s organization, decision making styles, and processes

  • Developing and maintaining consistent relationships with key client decision-makers at both staff and political levels

  • Identifying opportunities to influence client perceptions of Walsh

  • Tracking marketplace competitors

2) Provides advanced leadership to drive development of staff. High-level, intricate involvement in strategic recruitment and staffing, compensation, succession planning, and training. Serves as mentor and coach to Project Managers, and provides oversight to experienced Project Managers to advance their careers at Walsh and improve attraction and retention.

3) Works shoulder-to-shoulder with the Executive Committee and Ownership to act as prime mover of program-level strategic growth functions.

4) Develops project organizations in alignment with corporate strategy; creates project implementation plans.

5) Manages project responsibilities for advanced risk assessment, change management, performance and control measures, and rapid project health assessments and recovery strategies. Ensures communication of contractual obligations throughout all phases of multiple projects.

6) Utilizes advanced cost and scheduling control techniques for monitoring and management of concurrent projects as well as disparate enterprise-wide resources.

7) Understands the Walsh corporate organization and builds an internal network of relationships. Maintains satisfactory external relationships with owners, government officials and public officers, subcontractors, unions, etc.

8) Significant responsibility for risk assessment of underwriting activities, as well as making recommendations on DB and CJV Partners.
