COOLSOFT LLC has multiple openings for the position of Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer (Ref# SQAE625NN) to work in Louisville, KY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Responsible for quality assurance of IT projects, including manual and automation testing using various test methodologies and technologies. Schedule, plan, and support testing. Analyze existing test processes and test scripts to understand the test coverage. Perform pre-testing by analyzing programs and executing test scripts to identify pre-existing issues. Analyze business requirements and employ software testing life-cycle (STLC) methodologies to finalize the best-suited test approach. Participate in requirement analysis, identification, and documentation of required systems and functional testing efforts for all test scenarios. Write test plans and test cases based on business requirements and functional requirement document and create traceability matrices. Work with business analysts and the development team, perform gap analysis, and build test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, test execution, and post-production validations. Participate in all phases of testing of software applications including system integration testing, functional testing, regression testing, end to end testing, and user acceptance testing. Validate and analyze test results, create defects, perform defect tracking, and triage issues using HP Quality Center. Manage testing artifacts, test execution, and defect management. Create and execute test scripts, analyze failures, and maintain scripts. Write SQLs to query the DB2 database on mainframe environments for data mining and verification of test results. Analyze, retest, and close reported bugs/defects. Participate in weekly calls and timely escalation of severe bugs. Support go-live activities such as production verification, postproduction issues, review closure report, and overall status. Use of Agile, SCRUM, HP Quality Center, SoapUI, JIRA, Share Point, IBM Mainframes, JCL, CICS, SPUFI, DB2, Oracle, PL/SQL, UNIX, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Test Developer, Test Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Agile, HP Quality Center, JIRA, Share Point and DB2.
