Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob Description

The Construction Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the project site, ensuring that all subcontractors, suppliers, and employees adhere to the project schedule. This role requires a deep understanding of site logistics, site safety, and construction operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all onsite construction activity.

  • Ensure onsite subcontractors conform to company policy and reporting requirements.

  • Develop and distribute a project execution plan and site logistics plan to the project team.

  • Assist the Project Executive and Project Manager in planning and execution.

  • Understand product specifications and scope of work requirements.

  • Coordinate the review and approval of craft worker time cards.

  • Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports.

  • Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft roles.

  • Participate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetings.

  • Participate in the hiring and dismissal process of craft workers.

  • Resolve onsite disputes as needed.

  • Manage project labor to ensure outstanding project safety, subcontractor performance, on-time scheduling, specification conformance, and quality control.

  • Provide guidance on activities including setup, work in place, and project closeout/demobilization.

  • Create, support, and administer the project schedule with the Project Manager.

  • Coordinate with equipment facilities and outside equipment providers for project equipment such as cranes, trailers, and trucks.

  • Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of work.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.

  • Experience in healthcare construction is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in construction supervision and safety.

  • Ability to manage project scheduling and construction management tasks.

Work Environment

This role involves working in an office or on project sites, which can be located in Louisville or Lexington. The projects are in the Lexington/Louisville area and do not require overnight travel. The company fosters a close-knit team environment with frequent outings, cookouts, and sports events. The company works on a variety of projects, including hospitals, hospitality, and commercial buildings, and offers opportunities for promotion from within. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00
