Horseshoe Bend Motel Marketing and Communications Specialist in Lovell, Wyoming

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will perform a variety of tasks pertaining to communication and online networking, brand reputation and image development.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • With the support and direction of the Property Manager, communicate and network with department managers, as assigned. 
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, department managers, motel manager and mentor.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop a marketing plan for the business with the support of the mentor and consultants.
  • Set up and manage social media profiles as per marketing plan.
  • Create graphics and platform content daily, weekly or monthly per marketing plan.
  • Communicate and interact with social media followers (daily, as needed)
  • Development of a creative new project launching this year (including researching necessary permits, inventory budget, pricing and menu sheet, bids, supplies, etc).
  • Grant package development. 
  • Connect with businesses within the community to share appropriate information.
  • Deliverables: Develop a Project Plan, Social Media Certification, merchandise sales page on website, Social Media engagement will increase by 25% implement marketing plan with specific measurable activities (i.e., email marketing list, specific social media engagement/content executed, measurable increase in bookings as a result of the marketing activities).
  • Consistent participation at local EDO meetings.
  • Learn all aspects of the business to fully understand the marketing needs. 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Two years of vocational education preferred. Applicable work experience will be accepted in lieu of college education. 
  • Previous experience in related fields is preferred.

Schedule and Availability Considerations:

  • Must be willing to learn all aspects of the business, which may include nights and weekends. 
  • Must be responsive to emergencies.
  • Must properly communicate personal schedule needs proactively. 
  • Attend scheduled EDO meetings, as per motel manager direction.
