Job Description

Danfoss in Loves Park, IL has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern. This intern will work with manufacturing engineers and production maintenance on projects which quality, productivity and delivery and improve uptime on equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Completing Root Cause Problem Solving tasks

• Design, fabricate and utilize 3D printing with Solid Modeling

• Improve level of 5S on factory floor

• Deploy lean initiatives throughout the factory

• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with their daily tasks

• Assist Production Maintenance with daily tasks

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or similar technology degree.

• Ability to do physical work and use mechanical tools for construction or alterations of current equipment.

• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts used for LEAN processes.

• Computer knowledge including CAD, Solid Modeling, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work in fast-paced atmosphere

• Desire and dedication to be a key contributing member of a hardworking team

• Initiative, flexibility in working weekends if needed, and ability to work independently
