Position Description:

Provide office services by implementing administrative systems, and procedures. Monitors administrative projects for faculty and staff in the assigned academic area.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Handles day to day duties in the Dean’s and Associate Dean’s Offices.

  • Builds constructive and effective relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

  • Responsible for in-processing new staff and faculty members, including office assignment, keys, FOB, eraider.

  • Supervise employees including student assistants.

  • Manage the Law School’s Electronic Suggestion System including logging, updating, resolving, and posting suggestions.

  • Assist with event setup as needed.

  • Coordinate with the work order coordinator on daily HVAC issues.

  • Make effective use of student assistants for projects, events, mail-outs.

  • Support the Dean and Associate Deans on monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Provide support to the Office of the Registrar by maintaining student files in both the student information system, Banner, and the electronic filing system, Xtender.

  • Assist the Assistant Registrar during the administration of mid-term and final exams.

  • Assist the Assistant Dean and Registrar's Office by entering data related to student records (bar passage, degree plans, etc.) into the student information system, Banner.

  • Assist the Office of the Registrar by fulfilling transcript requests.

  • Other various projects as requested by the Assistant Dean and Registrar.

Occasional Duties:

  • Assist with room scheduling using Ad Astra, the academic scheduling software program, as needed.

  • Run reports to submit to the Dean for review.

  • Assist with interview/hiring of student assistants, collection of time sheets, and scheduling.

  • Proctor final exams in fall and spring semesters.

Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five years.
