Description We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the construction industry based in Lubbock, Texas. Our new team member will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial records, including processing accounts payable, managing data entry tasks, and handling light collections. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee data entry tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Process accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner

• Conduct light collections, ensuring all outstanding payments are collected

• Handle expense reports processing and assist in their reconciliation

• Undertake filing tasks to maintain organized and up-to-date records

• Respond to incoming calls, providing excellent customer service

• Assist in various special projects as needed

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data

• Perform various accounting tasks using Microsoft Excel

• Handle invoice processing to ensure all invoices are paid on time. Requirements • Possession of at least one year of experience in an accounting role or similar field

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Experience in invoice processing is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience using QuickBooks software for accounting tasks

• Prior experience in collections would be advantageous

• Ability to manage and reconcile expense accounts effectively

• Proven skills in expense reconciliation are necessary

• Experience in filing and maintaining records in an organized manner.
