Position Description:

Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • This position is expected to interact regularly with Texas Tech administrators, faculty, staff, students and their guests on behalf of Orientation Services and College Connect.

  • Responsible for public relations and attending recruitment events on behalf of Red Raider Orientation, Red Raider Camp, Orientation Services, and College Connect.

  • Coordinate, collect, and update information for Orientation Services' Admitted Student Tasklist, Online RRO modules, website, printed materials, emails, Guidebook App, and any other communications.

  • Oversee Program Manager for College connect.

  • Manage relationships with on and off campus partners and facilitate sponsorships for Orientation Services.

  • Ability to handle administrative details independently and effectively communicate with various groups, students, faculty, staff, and community members.

  • Skilled in personnel and financial management.

  • Demonstrated ability in planning, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of complex programs and projects.

  • Proven problem solving abilities and demonstrated ability for working with broad range activities.

  • Orientation knowledge, planning, and experience.

  • Master's degree in student personnel/student affairs or related fields, preferred.

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
