The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas Tech University is pleased to announce the availability of one tenure-track position in Kinesiology at the assistant professor level
Conduct research and publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
Teach a combination of undergraduate and graduate kinesiology courses.
Obtain external funding.
Advise graduate students in kinesiology and mentor undergraduate and graduate kinesiology students.
Perform professional service and outreach to the university, community, and profession.
Graduate courses may be taught in the evenings.
Strong teaching experience at the university level.
Demonstrated ability to seek external research funding.
Post-doctoral research experience in biostatistics, exercise physiology, motor control, or neurophysiology.
Experience in course development, including creative online pedagogy.
Demonstrated collegiality to participate in and support a collaborative, interdisciplinary work environment.
Experience and interest in working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable.

About the Department and/or College:
The Kinesiology and Sport Management Building offers 14 state-of-the-art research laboratories and includes six classrooms, a student computer lab, and faculty offices. The department is one of the largest at Texas Tech University and enrolls over 1,400 students in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and over 400 students in Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. Over 30 students are enrolled in the Master of Science in Kinesiology in human performance, exercise physiology, and in motor behavior/exercise and sport psychology and over 50 graduate students in the Master of Science in Sport Management. The department offers a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology with its first graduates in 2022.
