Lockheed Martin Materials and Distribution Supervisor, Multi Functional in Lufkin, Texas

Description:

You will be the Materials and Distribution Supervisor for our 2nd shift Warehouse Operations team. Our team is responsible for supporting our production lines with material and data cleansing needs, as well as managing material storage and replenishing our warehouse locations to support daytime kitting operations.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Materials and Distribution Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a small team of 5 associates and overseeing multiple functional areas, including material handling, stores management, and distribution. You will play a key role in mentoring and developing your team members to achieve operational excellence and meet production line support needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team to meet operational goals

• Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training

• Assessing team member performance and providing feedback and coaching

• Managing material storage and replenishment to support production line operations

• Utilizing warehouse/ERP software to optimize inventory management and control

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/combined education.

Understanding of warehousing/PPC and inventory best practices.

Experience using warehouse/ERP software.

Prior leadership/coaching experience.

Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift, with flexibility to attend staff meeting/call twice per month during the daytime.

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Experience in warehousing/PPC

Experience using SAP/Apriso

Prior Formal Supervisory/L-code experience

Green Belt Certified

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
