BWXT is currently seeking a Quality Data Analyst (Engineer) for its Lynchburg, VA location!

Job Description/Duties:

  • Compiles and maintains quality metrics for NOG-L on a monthly basis.

  • Coordinates and oversees authoring of the Quality Assessment Report for NOG-L.

  • Assembles metrics and presents to senior management at the monthly Quality Assessment Meeting.

  • Monitors and provides oversight of the Critique Process as the Critique Coordinator to include training of facilitators, scribes, and issue owners, attending critiques, and engaging with the management team and customers.

  • NOG-L liaison for customer oversight visits.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with all levels of the organization, i.e. individual contributors to upper management, at NOG-L and across other NOG divisions including, but not limited to, other analysts as well as Quality Managers and Directors.

  • Identifies trends across functional areas, recommends improvements, and justifies activities with data analysis.

  • Develops communications for the workforce, e.g. Quality Alerts.

  • Organizes and facilitates cross-functional meetings.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least four (4) years of related experience is required.

  • Previous leadership experience desired.

  • Must possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Understanding of data handling (Excel queries, pivot tables, Access, Power BI) is preferred.

  • Lean and Six Sigma or other analytical and causal analysis skills and experience is preferred.

  • Must have strong organizational skills and work ethic.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

  • Must demonstrate proven success as a problem solver, facilitator and decision maker.

  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in order to successfully develop positive internal and external customer relationships.

  • Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
