Job Description:

APPOINTMENT: August 15, 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES: For appointment as Instructor, the successful candidate will assume a range of responsibilities including (but not limited to): teaching undergraduate music business courses, serve as program director for music business, supervise music business practica and internships, serve as academic advisor for music business students, and participate in recruiting efforts. Additional assignments based on qualifications and experience may include duties in recording services, teaching applied lessons, or teaching music courses in the general education curriculum.

Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master\'s degree relevant to the area of specialization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success as an instructor at the university level.
  • Broad knowledge of the music industry, including technology, entrepreneurship, music publishing, arts administration, and/or music products.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
