Actalent Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Macon, Georgia

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

Our client, an Architecture and Engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes. This role encompasses human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes.

  • Focus on human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, and material flow.

  • Conduct cost analysis and production coordination.

  • Design building systems and facility layouts.

  • Utilize software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D for design purposes.

  • Provide guidance and support to entry-level mechanical engineers.

Essential Skills

  • 8-10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the manufacturing/industrial setting.

  • Proficiency in mechanical design and facility design.

  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Background in industrial design.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred, but not mandatory.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical 3D and Mechanical 3D.

  • Ability to become a resource for other engineers.

  • In-house continuing education classes that provide credit for AIA, IIDA, RLA, & PE.

  • Exam reimbursement upon successful completion.

Work Environment

The work environment includes designing systems and facilities using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Plant 3D. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00
