Description

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant for an established company located in Madison, Alabama. As the Accounting Assistant, you will be expected to balance customer service tasks with various accounting responsibilities, including processing payments, maintaining records, and supporting other team members as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers

• Handle cashier duties, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of incoming payments.

• Assist with the management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including the resolution of discrepancies.

• Collaborate with accounting team members across various locations, actively participating and suggesting improvements to streamline processes.

• Communicate effectively with managers and corporate office to enhance operations, address issues, and identify opportunities for business improvement.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to allocate expenses, import transactions, and carry out other accounting tasks.

• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and enhance efficiency.

• Balance assertiveness with a friendly and supportive demeanor, especially when dealing with different clientele.

• Answer inbound calls, providing information and assistance to customers as needed.

• Process credit card payments, ensuring accuracy and security at all times.

Requirements

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is highly preferred

• Ability to efficiently handle Answering Inbound Calls

• Exceptional Customer Service skills needed

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is a must
