Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various massage techniques and a deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a relaxing and therapeutic environment for clients. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in promoting overall wellness and helping clients manage pain and stress.

Duties

• Provide high-quality massage therapy services, including prenatal, postpartum, swedish, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• Utilize customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients, addressing their concerns and preferences.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in occupational health settings to support clients' recovery and wellness goals.
• Keep accurate records of client sessions, treatments provided, and progress made.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards to ensure a clean working environment.

Qualifications

• Valid MI massage therapy license or certification from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pain management strategies.
• Experience in a med spa or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the perinatal field or pediatric field highly desired but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide feedback on treatment progress.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of massage therapy.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 -- 16 per week
