What you will be doing: *Post customer payments by recording ACH, checks, and credit card transactions. *Perform daily route settlement processing tasks, organize and file necessary paperwork. *Perform End of Month processing for inventory roll forward. *Prepare daily deposit and scan checks to the bank. *Respond to calls and emails regarding customer account activities. *Review A/R aging reports for assigned chain customers and independent customers. *Perform pricing and invoice corrections to customer accounts as directed. *Process returned payments from the bank and follow up with the customer. *Assist in the review of billing, collection, and cash posting processes for efficiency and best practices. *Other finance and accounting tasks, reconciliations, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned. What we are looking for: *An associate degree in accounting preferred but will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree. *Solid overall general skills in working with numbers, computer, and 10-key entry, organizing, and communicating in both verbal and written form. *Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel and Word preferred). *Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills. *High attention to detail. *Ability to provide suggestions for the improvement of practices and to work with fellow employees as part of a team. *Repetitive motion of wrist, fingers, and arms. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
