JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The UW Population Health Institute seeks a project coordinator to support adolescent health initiatives at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). The Adolescent Health Coordinator is based in the Family Health Section, Bureau of Community Health Promotion, Division of Public Health, DHS. Under the general supervision of the Child and Adolescent Health Unit Supervisor, the coordinator will manage the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program which provides evidence-based positive youth development and social emotional learning programs for middle school-aged youth in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include administering contracts for SRAE sub-grantees, providing fiscal and programmatic oversight, coordinating trainings and technical assistance, conducting needs assessments, and leading quality improvement efforts. The coordinator will also play a key role in federal grant applications and reporting, and will work toward statewide adolescent health goals including supporting adolescent health efforts under the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block grant. This position involves high-level independent tasks and technical assistance on a statewide basis, coordinating with various departments and external partners to improve adolescent health outcomes in areas such as prevention, healthy behaviors, and mental health. This position will also provide content expertise to internal and external partners in topics related to adolescent health and positive youth development, and will be expected to apply a health equity lens to their work.
