JOB REQUIREMENTS: Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is Madison\'s public recreation provider. MSCR offers a wide variety of athletic, recreational, arts and enrichment activities and classes for all ages in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming instruction, MSCR on the Move, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, sports camps & clinics, adult & 50+ fitness, adult sport leagues including pickleball, softball and tennis, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling sports, pontoon trips, camping, orienteering and challenge courses. As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), MSCR also provides afterschool enrichment activities, clubs and sports as well as summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools, Allied Learning Center and Meadowood Neighborhood Center. Afterschool clubs and sports include: arts & enrichment, homework/academic clubs, drama, dance, skiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country and much more! During the school year, MSCR offers Afterschool and Enrichment Programs at 15 MMSD Schools. Many of these sites have been awarded Community Learning Center (CLC) grants through the Federal Government. These programs offer curriculum to help support the students who need extra support in math and/or literacy. Program Description: MSCR Adult Basketball program is looking for officials for our MSCR Adult Basketball leagues. No experience is necessary, we will train. Job Description & Duties: Officiate games in the Adult Basketball leagues. No experience is required. New officials are welcome to apply! We will host a new officials training for any person that is new to officiating! Work Location: La Follette, West and Memorial High Schools. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Background in coaching or officiating sports in any capacity. Basic knowledge or understanding of the game of basketball. Courteous, tactful and patient with players and spectators. Attentive and present during the game while making calls. Preferred Qualifications: Previous officiating experience is preferred but not required. Any new officials will be required to attend MSCR New Officials Training. WIAA certification preferred.
