JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the general supervision of the Museum Assistant Director this position has overall responsibility for the digitization and creation of corresponding metadata for fully processed images from the Post-Civil War to World War I era in the holdings of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum archives. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimally qualified applicants will have experience with: Analyzing written content and render analysis in written format; and Excellent verbal and written communication; and National standards and practices that govern the cataloging of primary source materials and descriptive content standards from a variety of disciplines in the creation of descriptive content (e.g., MARC21 format, Encoded Archival Description, Encoded Archival Content, Dublin core, LC name and subject authorities, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, Describing Archives, etc.); and Computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications Well-qualified applicants will also have experience with at least one of the following: Archival principles and practices; or Graphic, audio and moving image formats and the metadata requirements for their access and preservation ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://wj.wi.gov/14570 Qualified females, minorities, and special disabled veterans and other veterans are encouraged to apply.
