We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Civil Engineer in our growing Madison, WI office. This opportunity offers exciting project challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. For the right candidate, this position also provides the potential to develop into a Practice Team Leader in the Madison office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.

  • Serving as a technical resource for site civil team members.

  • Mentorship of less experienced staff members.

  • Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.

  • Professional society involvement.

    In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Master’s degree with an emphasis on hydraulics, hydrology or a related field of study is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience of design experience in site development, grading, drainage, storm water management, and permitting in Wisconsin. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Abilities to mentor staff and successfully lead a project team is a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large site projects.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin. PE licenses in other Midwest states is a plus.

  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
