Role Snapshot

Provide routine clerical services using standard and specialized equipment and document quality assurance through specialized computer commands.

How do I know this opportunity is right for me? If you:

  • Have experience and an understanding of Medicare Mail procedures

  • Can perform daily maintenance on various imaging and mailroom equipment

  • Would enjoy opening, identifying, sorting, indexing, and routing documents according to internal procedures and federal regulations for Medicare Part A, Part B, Provider Enrollment and checks.

  • Perform computer-based clerical tasks requiring some diversity and application of established procedures

  • Can route, log, and deliver all incoming monies according to defined procedures

  • Can return documents to providers for resubmission as needed

  • Can triage and characterize incoming documents, applying classification attributes within policy administration systems based on relevant contract and customer requirements

  • Can perform key contextual and update edits on fields not passing programming edits at a performance rate of 100%

  • Have high attention to detail and can accurately enter claim types, resolve edits by determining correct action to be taken on various types of errors, assess claims to determine type

  • Are organized and detail-oriented

  • Are computer proficient

  • Can stand for 8 hours

  • Can lift up to 50 lbs. to perform work functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 or more years of experience using personal computer with basic keyboarding and data entry skills

  • Ability to learn departmental procedures for handling a variety of document types

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly to fulfill work functions

  • Must live within vicinity of Madison, WI campus location

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Medicare mail processing

  • Experience in MVH mail processing

  • Knowledge regarding preparation and processing of incoming mail

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Imaging functions

    Additional Information

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Starting Base Salary: $17.20 /hour

  • Work Schedule:

  • Onsite 8-hour shift Monday-Friday between 6:00am - 2:00pm CT

  • Training: 1st shift

  • Work Location: This role requires in person work at our new 5049 Tradewinds Parkway location in Madison, WI. Employee is required to live within 45 miles of this office location.
