Iconica is seeking a Field Engineer & Safety Intern to join our team for summer 2025! In this role, you’ll work closely with Field Superintendents and Carpenters, gaining hands-on experience in:

• Promoting job site safety by participating in safety meetings, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

• Assisting in developing and implementing safety plans and procedures to create a safe work environment for all team members.

• Coordinating with subcontractors and construction project managers to keep tasks on schedule.

• Constructing, installing, and remodeling wood and steel structures using hand and power tools.

• Learning the proper sequence of activities to assemble a building.

• Reviewing subcontractor scopes of work, conducting shop drawing reviews, and following up on punch list and warranty items.

• Assisting with quality control by helping create punch lists and verifying completed work.

• Supporting project schedules and safety initiatives to meet client commitments.

• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.

  Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.

• Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).

• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.

• High initiative and passion for learning.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
