JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: University Housing is looking for leaders with culinary skills to join our Dining and Culinary Services Food Service Supervisor team! Food Service Supervisors help lead the production of safe, quality food within residential dining facilities on the UW-Madison campus and ensure they meet customer satisfaction and departmental goals. We\'re offering a \$2,000 to \$4,000 hiring bonus and significant night and weekend shift differentials. Responsibilities: Oversees daily food service operations and performs food preparation activities in environments such as dining, retail, and/or catering venues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve food service goals. 25% Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff 15% Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities 25% Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods 10% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas 15% Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures 10% Assists and guides student workers Tasks: Completes required logs and reports. Demonstrates and role models exceptional customer service. Drives food delivery trucks to efficiently transport staff and supplies to other units and/or events. Interacts with English speaking customers while displaying knowledge of food products, allergens, and food safety. Performs duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment. Prepares food (including display cooking) and beverages following predetermined menus, production sheets, and recipes for on and off site catering.
