Description

Robert Half is always seeking Full Charge Bookkeepers for clients in the Madison area. A motivated bookkeeper needs to be a self-starter who can multitask effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Typical duties for a Bookkeeper include but are not limited to:

• Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Applying cash

• Performing collection calls

• Preparing and entering invoices

• 3-way match of invoices to receipts

• Processing Payroll, including deductions, garnishments and taxes

• Posting journal entries

• Assisting with month-end and year-end close preparation

• Preparing financial statements

• Managing bank and general ledger reconciliation

  Requirements

• Prior experience with AP and AR required

• Exposure to Payroll is strongly preferred

• Proficient with QuickBooks or other accounting software

• Fast and accurate data entry

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

• Exceptional customer services skills
