JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Join the University Housing Facilities team as an HVAC Mechanic! We are seeking energetic and skilled candidates to provide repair and maintenance of all mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems. Work with a team of professionals focused on excellent customer service with no sales component. Base hours are all daytime hours with flexible start time. Responsibilities: Installs, maintains, and repairs environmental control or refrigeration equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment within an assigned facility. May direct the work of other staff performing routine maintenance and repair functions. 30% Monitors, tests, maintains, and repairs Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, related equipment, and controls according to established policies and procedures 15% Receives, prioritizes, and responds to service requests according to established timelines and policies 15% Identifies, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and escalates system problems, equipment malfunctions, and repair needs 20% Performs scheduled preventative and routine maintenance and documents activity on equipment and systems to ensure optimal and safe operation 20% Performs basic plumbing and general repair work Tasks: Assists and guides student workers Communicates in English via radio and in person to emergency personnel Performs HVAC work in a variety of University Housing buildings, including driving utility vehicles to efficiently transport staff, move supplies, and urgently respond to emergency situations Performs duties in a highly diverse student and family housing community, including resident-occupied spaces, as well as in vacant and common areas Provides on-call support for service and repair needs on nights and/or weekends Provides support and assists as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency Institutional Statement on...
