What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health
The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.

Responsibilities
• National Strategic Customer Specialty and Retail focus
• Lead Specialty Pharma Distribution portion of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with customer.
Speak to and consult on Specialty Pharma Distribution trend and purchasing analysis.
• Manage through emergency order escalations to aid customers in navigating through urgent and critical factor dosing for critical patients. Includes managing 24/7 emergency on-call ordering service multiple times per year.
• Develop opportunities to grow revenue/margin through manufacturer (MFG) partnerships, and other
areas of interaction
• Lead targeted initiatives
• Participate in pressure testing strategies and initiatives prior to team launch
• Manage late night escalations to the appropriate team
• MSA’s, Consignment turns, short-dated products, profitable products, SOURCE Gx, and various
solutions
• Lead MFG or other key strategic Initiatives (approximately 8 per year): Drive results and focus through team
meeting and achieving activity and MFG commitments
• Identify new opportunities within existing business
• Be able to speak to and consult on Specialty Pharma Distribution trend and purchasing analysis.
• Lead targeted initiatives including content development and facilitation for continuing education
and training (Specialty Pharma Distribution & Pharma Distribution) including cross-campus travel
• Execute and Enhance mentoring program with all new hires
What is expected of you and others at this level
• Collaborate with the outside team, sharing intel when larger opportunities are revealed
• Collaborate with Customer Success Account Manager for QBRs, Cardinal Health initiatives and customer
expectations
• Sell and manage the Consignment Program and other Solutions
• Reduce product obsolescence through Short-Dated Selling and other specialty solutions
(potentially ASSIST as well)
• Identify gaps and potential opportunities to increase sales/profitability for Cardinal Health;
including COT challenges, eligibility, and product access
• Gathering of competitive pricing intel
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Inventory to understand sales trends/ebbs and flows, driving
MSAs, rebate/ initiatives.
• Partner with manufacturers to identify potential opportunities, as well as gathering comp intel
• Product and disease state awareness to assist pharmacy personnel with informed decisions
• Participate in late night rotation/On-Call program
• Specialty Product Allocation Management
• Current market knowledge including; shortages, products coming to market, Biosimilars, GPOs, and
the state of 340B
• Site visits and conference attendance when applicable
• Fielding issues to the appropriate internal teams (Customer Service/Ops, Finance, Credit, Sourcing, Inventory, IT etc)
Qualifications
Proven background in Pharmaceutical Consultative Selling
Health system account management experience.
Leadership Skills
Sales Reporting experience
Networking/Relationship Building
Multitasking/Troubleshooting
Product Knowledge within Rare Disease/Oncology/Hemophilia/Vaccines is a plus.
Anticipated hourly range: $23.68 per hour - $33.82 per hour + incentive plan eligibility.
Bonus eligible: Yes (incentive plan eligible)
