JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The King-Morgridge Scholars (KM Scholars) Program is a scholarship program that was launched in 2017 through the generous support of Bob and Dottie King and John and Tashia Morgridge. The KM Scholars Program is for exceptional undergraduate students from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Selected for their drive, academic success, and commitment to addressing issues of poverty in their own countries, King-Morgridge Scholars receive a full-time, four-year/eight-semester undergraduate scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison that includes round-trip airfare, tuition and fees, room and board, health insurance, and a stipend for miscellaneous expenses. Funding for a fifth year of study is also currently available. The program is currently comprised of 24 undergraduate scholars, who are accepted in cohorts of up to 6-scholars per year. The Program Manager is the point of contact for the KM Scholars from the time of acceptance to graduation. The Program Manager supports the scholars in all their academic, professional/career, and personal pursuits. They also manage the disbursement of scholars\' financial awards and manage travel. In collaboration with colleagues, the Program Manager plans programming and activities throughout the year, in addition to an annual spring break trip. Lastly, this individual plays an instrumental role in cultivating a trusting, cohesive, and joyful community among the group. The KM Scholars Program Manager reports to the Associate Dean of High Impact Programs within the International Division. Responsibilities: Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of one or more academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting strategic, departmental, and student development goals. May manage the program budget and outreach activities and supervise program staff.
