Job Title: Chemistry Lab Technician

Job Description

As a Chemistry Lab Technician you will divide your time between two key responsibilities within the Dose Prep Team in Metabolism. For 50% of your day, you will function as a TA Coordinator, cataloging samples, entering data into databases, and managing inventory. The other 50% will be spent preparing client test materials using wet chemistry techniques and, eventually, analytical chemistry instrumentation.

Hard Skills

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Microbiology

  • Wet chemistry techniques: weighing materials, pH probes, graduated cylinders, mixing samples, heating samples

  • Analytical chemistry instrumentation: HPLC, UV-Vis, LC-MS

Soft Skills

  • Flexibility to handle varying day-to-day responsibilities

  • Efficiency in picking up and executing responsibilities

  • Attention to detail for cataloging and documentation tasks

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Lab setting within the Metabolism team, consisting of around 100 employees, primarily focused on lab work.
