The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR); Office of General Counsel is currently recruiting to fill a hybrid paralegal position based in our Madison office, which telecommutes one day per week. The Office of General Counsel represents the Department of Revenue in tax and other proceedings, seeking fair and expeditious resolution of taxpayer appeals. They review and prioritize client and court referrals and requests; draft, edit, issue and serve high-quality documents for various legal actions; communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse group of coworkers, clients, opposing counsel and court personnel; approve payments for services; correctly process and apply incoming payments; investigate, research and solve issues, and assist with improvements in technology and office automation.
