UW-SYSTEM-CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION PAYROLL SERVICE DELIVERY SUPERVISOR in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21203 JOB TITLE: PAYROLL SERVICE DELIVERY SUPERVISOR POSITION SUMMARY The individual in this position provides leadership and functional expertise across human resources business processes and assists in providing direction and coordination of the team members and their activities. This individual will inspire and motivate others to perform well and work effectively with all teams throughout Shared Services. Reporting to the Payroll Services Delivery Manager at UW-Shared Services, this position will supervise a team managing centralized payroll, time and labor, and leave processing. This person will support the effort to build and enhance new work streams geared toward operational efficiency and automation of administrative services as well as manage the delivery of those services once developed. We are currently recruiting to fill TWO Payroll Service Delivery Supervisor positions. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Service Delivery -Direct the daily operations of the service delivery team and ensure the necessary resources and tools are available for quality customer service delivery to both internal and external customers. -Define and communicate customer service levels and standards and oversee the attainment and maintenance of those expectations. -Direct routine operational processing as part of service delivery, assuring the attainment of set standards and metrics. -Research and interpret regulations, statutes and develop procedures for application within the system and related business processes. Assist with the implementation of these changes. -Manage resolution of customer inquiries escalated from the customer support team. WORK LOCATION The office location is in Madison, WI. An in-office requirement is expected three days per week with the option to work the remaining two days off-site/remote. Telecommuting agreements are subject to change at any time. Questions may be addressed to: Sarah Haen, HR Business Partner, at sarah.haen@uwss.wisconsin.edu. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for this position, applicants must have: -Associates degree or minimum of 2 years professional work experience in Human Resources (e.g., employee lifecycle processing within a HRIS system, applicant tracking system, payroll administration, benefits processing, etc.) -Experience supervising or leading team members PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Well qualified applicants will also have a substantial amount of experience in a combination of the following: -Payroll Administration including time and labor and absence management processing -Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience -Knowledge of and experience interpreting and implementing UW System Administrative Policies and Procedures -Knowledge of Federal and State tax withholding -Knowledge of State of Wisconsin unemployment processing -Strong communicat on and teamwork skills; and the ability to build and maintain relationships ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: www.careers.wisconsin.edu
