JOB REQUIREMENTS: Per Diem Nurse - Med, Surg & Shortstay Unit - 36542 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Per Diem Registered Nurses must commit to work a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours, per six (6) week scheduling period in direct patient care. As applicable to operations, one shift should be an evening, night, weekend or holiday. Hour may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Please take a minute to review this video of the Medical/Surgical and Short Stay unit. * 28-bed unit with a diverse medical/surgical patient population which provides nurses with the ability to utilize their expertise in assessment and intervention. * Patients may be admitted with an expected short stay post operatively, for a medical condition or until they transition to a specific nursing unit. * Patients are received from multiple services such as Emergency Department, Operative Services, interhospital transfers and direct admissions from clinics, or patient homes. * All staff work together to ensure patient\'s needs are being met in a timely and effective manner with high patient satisfaction results.
