JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Office of Social Health Sciences and Programs (OSHSP) at the University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) oversees, creates synergies, and guides the growth of SMPH\'s current and future initiatives, policies and programs that are designed to study and eliminate health disparities. Under the direction of the Finance Associate Director, the Post-Award Sponsored Programs, Post Award Accountant III will provide financial oversight of the grantmaking activity within the OSHSP, including the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP). The OSHSP manages more than 120 active grants in any given year, financial management and oversight are critical components of the process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with partners within the UW and community organizations across the state. The position will collaborate with the OSHSP finance teams and program staff to conduct technical reviews of grant proposals, prepare post-award spending reports, review and approve grant budgets and review financial progress reports. They will also be responsible for overseeing the administrative expenditures of the OSHSP. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role. Responsibilities: Works with researchers, departments, and centers to monitor and reconcile data for sponsored programs at the school/college/divisional level. Reviews and approves financial transactions submitted from departments or centers. May interact directly with project sponsors related to detailed financial reporting, invoicing, and/or auditing on behalf of the unit to ensure compliance. 10% Communicates and ensures financial requirements per federal, state, university, and sponsor regulations are followed on behalf of the school/college or division 25% Ensures the departmental or divisional post-award processing or tasks are done appropriately and timely 25% Reviews and approves financial transactions such as managing fiscal closeout of awards and projects 15% Advises departments or researchers on appropriate post-award modifications and relevant processing 5% Collects or...
