nVent Regional Sales Coordinator in Madison, Wisconsin

This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

Supports assigned Regional Sales Manager(s) (RSMs) and commercial team throughout the sales process by coordinating internally with sales, estimating, engineering, operations and externally to manage customer communications. Supports initial evaluation of customer documents and specifications to consolidate and communicate requirements to structural and electrical estimating teams. Upon completion of estimating, manages outbound proposal delivery and customer communication.

  • Assist in all aspects of quoting process, as required, to include: Preparation and submittal of quote forms, obtaining bid lists, qualifying and contacting bidders, preparation of proposals, sending proposals and quote log entry.

  • Ability to understand and translate customer requirements (technical and commercial) to support quote development, lead time assignment and design/project risk

  • Act as customer liaison, taking follow-up action to keep the quote/project moving

  • Provide initial response to inquiries, qualifying and handing off to sales representative, generating and sending information packages and making initial follow up qualifying calls to all who receive information.

  • Travels with RSMs, as appropriate, to develop customer relationships

  • Manages customer correspondence Analytical - Collects and researches information required to address customer RFQs.

  • BS Engineering or BS Business Administration with strong technical aptitude or equivalent experience

  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations

  • Technical Skills - Ability to evaluate customer technical requirements and clarify/discuss/negotiate to resolve requirement issues

  • Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance, meets commitments.

  • Teamwork - Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, puts success of team above own interests, able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives, supports everyone's efforts to succeed, recognizes accomplishments of other team members.
